In most Indian homes, cake never really had a story. Our nanis and dadis filled our vacations with laddoos, barfis, mathris, and jars of namkeen but never with brownies or cheesecakes. Cakes were always store-bought, wrapped in cardboard boxes, more “Western” than “ours.”

At Bake a Tale, we want to change that. We want you to feel that every cake, every cookie, every cheesecake you order from us could have been made in your own kitchen but only with the time, patience, and skill you may not always have.

Because in the end, what people crave isn’t just dessert.

It’s the truth behind their food.

Crafted from Scratch

Each recipe is designed by me, Aman. It takes time, energy, mistakes, and experience to craft something worth sharing. Nothing is picked from the internet, nothing is borrowed. Everything is written, re-written, and perfected in our kitchen.

Why we use it

Couverture Chocolate

Van Houten, Valrhona, Barry Callebaut

While most bakeries go for compound chocolates (palm oil). We prefer world's finest couvertures which are rich, silky, deep and full of real flavors.

Butter

President, Elle & Vire

While most bakeries go for shortening, margarine. We only use European butter which has more fat giving a creamier taste, flakier pastry and a smoother mouthfeel. Our baked goods don't stick in your mouth only the memory of it sticks in your heart.

Vanilla Pods

A+ grade from Madagascar

No essence, pure vanilla only. Its rich, creamy and sweet. Madagascar vanilla is considered as the gold standard due to its consistency and high vanillin content.

Flour

Rajdhani

Premium quality, consistently reliable flour made from high quality wheat processed hygienically and free from artificial preservatives.

Cocoa Powder

Cocoacraft, Valrhona, Barry Callebaut

Most bakeries use 10-12% fat cocoa powder if they are actually using cocoa powder and not color. We are Harvey Specter of desserts. We like our chocolate desserts intense, rich, smoother and most importantly luxurious mouthfeel. We use 20% fat cocoa powder, double of industry standards, resulting in moister and tender baked goods.

Mascarpone

Home-made

It's rich, creamier and most importantly fresh. No added preservatives, stabilizers or eew aftertaste. Its the real deal.

Fruits

Hand-picked from local markets

Only moms know to get the best groceries which are fresh, and additives free. Founder's mom helps him in fetching the fresh fruits from local markets for your luxurious desserts. Naturally sweet, not filled with sugar.
p.s. whole fruit contains dietary fiber which mostly missing in fruit crushes.

Rice Bran Oil

While most bakeries use palm oil, we use rice bran oil which contains a good balance of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats while being lower in saturated fat compared to palm oil.

Chef is from Haryana and has a kink for purity and real food. We at Bake a Tale only use premium quality dairy products.
100% real milk and desi cow ghee from local gaushala.

We’re here to change that.

At Bake a Tale, we bake with real couverture chocolate, Madagascar vanilla beans, high-fat European butter, Pishori pistachios, and handpicked dry fruits. Ingredients that let the dessert speak for itself.
